Large Scale Facilities (Master 2)
This lecture aims towards discovering the contribution of the large scale facilities (neutron source and synchrotron radiation), at fundamental as well as applied levels, in the understanding of structural and dynamical properties of materials. In addition to the lectures separated into 3 parts (Introduction, Structure and Dynamics) a practical training project is organized in the neutron facility near Paris (Nuclear reactor “Orphée” of the “Laboratoire Léon Brillouin”, http://www-llb.cea.fr) during three days. This project give to the students the opportunity to experience the acquired concepts.
